Most toxic fandoms I’ve been in/survived — swifties, One Direction , heated rivalry supernatural, marvel, stranger things…. I’ve been a fangirl for over 20 yrs so I can put up with A LOT but lately it’s getting ridiculous!

do you think it's just sheer size and statistical percentage of crazies that are bound to be in that space, and when the fandom is bigger, the amount of crazies also goes up? this is how i felt when the HR fandom blew up. "broke containment" per se. but yeah. like you said. YIKES.
