As a former cafeteria manager, breakfast can still be served up until 10:00am. It may piss off the cafeteria workers, but if kids are late because of this, or any reason, they are entitled access to breakfast.

back in the day, senior highschool students drove the buses and got Educational credits for it and drove the buses home at the end of the day. then they did the morning route. don't know if they got paid for it though. walking to/from school was great exercise and lots of fun.

In Alaska they shut down Glacier View School, at the beginning of this year, and those students are now expected to take a 40 mile bus ride to and from the nearest public school in another town.

Teacher here. Had to stay an hour after school with a group of kids, because we were down a bus and had to wait for a bus to do its route, to come back and get the other kids.

It also probably means less field trips for these kids. My daughter has her first one next week and she’s so excited. I could imagine how disappointed she would be if they had to cancel the field trip.
