I don’t want to sound dumb, genuine question: if food expires, does it matter if you freeze it? Like, is it still safe to eat if you freeze it?

I bought the shredding attachment for my kitchen aid mixer and I will shred cheese in bulk, then lightly toss in some corn starch and then keep it in the freezer so I always have freshly shredded cheese on hand. The cornstarch keeps it from clumping together and freezing it doesn’t change the taste or texture. Also if you hand shred or have a rotary grater freeze the cheese block before hand it keeps its from smearing and getting stuck/clogged.

We also have 3 freezers stuffed to the brim & one is acting up. I’m so panicked we’re going to loose all the meat in there. So we’re panic eating everything from the freezer until they can get it fixed. 🤣
