Failed organic chemistry 3 times and calc 4 times. Each time made me question my whole existence and let me tell you I finally passed all the courses this past year and ooo it feels nice for once now for passing those courses and then working in healthcare already, Imma keep going for the people who’ve told me i would be a great nurse

This is why advisors are so hated on. They don’t provide the shoulder that students need and whenever they see students struggling, they tell the student to pivot because they don’t seem adequate to take on the career they are striving to go in.

Not going to be a doctor but a nurse. Failed the program twice and it absolutely destroyed me because no matter how hard I tried I just couldn’t do it. Got back into the program a third time and now i graduate in a couple months! I think it takes a certain type of grit to be able to go into the health care field and knowing how much you’ll make an impact in the future in whatever path you chose 🙂

everyone can do anything. But everyone has their own passions. I’ve failed math and chem, but I’m willing to get back up because what I want to do and who I want to be is truly who I want to be. And that’s okay if sometimes you find yourself through failing and that’s amazing if you do. But everyone has their own wisdom and different path. Anyone can be in the medical field. But it matters if you are truly in it till the end and you WANT to be. That it is your PASSION. I wanted to give up and sometimes I still do because of my downfalls, but I know that I am not going to because this is who I want to be.

It depends on the country. In the UK you can get in with poor grades and a shit UCAT score. In Australia, you can get 99.9th percentile academics and not get a single interview. To get that level of elite grades you need high IQ.

i don’t think so but it depends on empathy not intelligence. you can’t teach someone to be empathetic but you can work enough to be “smart”
