Help! Whenever I try a burgundy eye vibe (tried the Maybelline and Charlotte tilbury mascaras and various eyeshadows) it ends up looking like I’m crying/have an eye infection it seems to make like a pinky sort of tone around my eyes… what am I doing wrong?

I don’t know why but I honestly feel like I look so silly in mascara that’s not brown or black. I’m pretty sure most of them are dark enough that nobody else notices but for some reason, I just feel like I look costumey or like an 80’s throwback. It’s so so good on everyone else though. The injustice 😅
