@chrisshonai: Save this before the big Claude Cowork update! (Excuse my son in the BG) 😂 Starting October 6, new tasks on Pro and Max run in the cloud. Your folders stay put. Claude copies just the files a task needs into the cloud to process them. If your scheduled report reads a spreadsheet on your desktop, Claude still needs your computer online with the Desktop app open to get that file. That’s the part I’d check today. Run that task once after the update. And before giving it sensitive files, check your privacy settings. I never found Co-work useful; it's not as good at managing your computer as Claude Code, and without that it's just a standard Claude chat. 🤷🏻‍♀️I stand by it that the best approach for ANY sensitive data is local models; wouldn't trust any sensitive info on anyone's cloud truly, certainly not Anthropic's or OpenAI's.
