It was the career I saw on youtube, in tech keynotes, and on vision boards. Back in India, getting into my dream Canadian master’s program felt completely out of reach. So I set an unrealistic goal: worked day and night with my professors in Btech → published 5 ML research papers across top international journals → and won a Best Research Paper award. That preparation secured my seat in Master’s program in a Canadian University Then I packed two suitcases, left home behind, and landed with zero safety net and no guarantees. When graduation came around, the job market was brutal so I played the game differently: 👉 Bypassed the HR filters by cold-messaging CTOs and VPs on Linkedin directly with proof of my work and impact. 👉 Opting for Internships to gain canadian corporate experience. 👉 Ditched random tutorials and learned real AI system architecture, not just ChatGPT wrapper scripts. 👉 Landed my role at a Google Cloud startup within months to build systems from scratch.
