😡 DON’T SHOUT AT ME AND DON’T LIE! 💔😭 “I WILL NEVER RETURN TO SWAT…” I SAID. 📍 Chinar Market, Khwazakhela, Swat, Pakistan 🇵🇰 | PART 1 What happened to me at Chinar Market left me so upset that I broke down in tears. 💔 I never expected my day to end like this. I was simply exploring the market, looking for somewhere to buy a karahi cooking pot. Instead, I found myself in a frightening and intimidating situation. 😢 I had asked permission to record at Chacha’s shop while I was buying a cooking pot. (Even the items were already inside a plastic bag because I was already in his shop.) While I was filming a selfie video at Chacha’s shop, a man came from another corridor three times, repeatedly walking around me and shouting, asking why I was recording females. He was speaking Pashto, which I couldn't understand. Thankfully, I was accompanied by a student from Swat who was guiding me around the market. He translated what the man was saying and explained to him that no women had been recorded. The man's behaviour made me feel so intimidated and frightened that I decided to call the police for support. I genuinely didn't know what he might do next. The way he was looking at me, walking around me, and shouting at me made me think he could physically attack me at any moment. The funny part? His tone of voice suddenly changed when the police arrived. He then claimed in a nice way that I had been recording women, which was not what I was doing. I was filming at Chacha’s shop, in a different corridor and away from the man's shop. He had been shouting so loudly that people started gathering to see what was happening. I was scared that people might believe his accusations without hearing my side of the story, potentially putting me in danger. The video was also shown to some people to help clarify what had happened and demonstrate that the accusations did not reflect what I had recorded. I want to acknowledge the other shop owners and workers who supported me, helped me, and treated me with kindness. ❤️ Their support meant a lot to me during such a distressing moment. There is a right way to speak to people. Respect costs nothing. If someone has a concern, they can approach you calmly and respectfully instead of shouting, intimidating you, or making accusations. From my perspective, the man seemed to need some scandal, attention, and validation from others. Later, I was told that he is a problematic person with everyone in the market. Lies and disrespect are unacceptable! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I am not scared to post this video. Whoever wants to take his side is free to do so. Only the people involved in this incident know the full truth. I am sharing this video because I share all my experiences during my trips, whether good or bad, as experiences help all of us reflect and learn. And let me be clear: one person's behaviour does not represent an entire country. Pakistan has many kind, welcoming, and hospitable people, and the kindness I received from others in that market deserves to be acknowledged too. 🇵🇰❤️ This experience genuinely upset me, and in that moment, I said I would never return to Swat. I was speaking from a place of fear, hurt, and disappointment. I love Pakistan so much and that will not change for one person’s behaviour. 🎥 PART 2: I'll share more of what happened. It will mostly the entire video, so you can see more of the incident for yourself. Inc. 21.09 #Swat #Pakistan #fyp #viral #khawazakhela
