@htowndailynews: A mother and father were shot to death Monday morning in the driveway of their northside home, and Houston police say the suspect is the woman's ex-boyfriend. The shooting happened at 8 a.m. in the 900 block of Lindale Street, shortly after the couple dropped off their young son at a nearby school, police said. Dariela Cardona, who grew up in the neighborhood, was raising her two young sons there until she was killed in front of her home. Neighbor Jesus Flores said he had known the family for years. "She loved her sons; she was always taking them out, from what I remember, you know. Man, she just started her business; she was doing hair, she was doing really well. Everything she could do, she did it for them," Flores said. Police said Cardona and the father of her younger son, Erick Von Gerbitz, had recently rekindled their relationship. Investigators believe Cardona's ex-boyfriend was angry, and he is the suspect in the shooting. #htx #htown #houston #houstontx #houstontexas
