In reality I think it was just an accident because I’m sure that chimney hadn’t been cleaned in years. For an interesting plot point I think having it be tai or Travis would be interesting

You know how we have no idea what started the fire in the plane with Laura Lee? Theories are saying it’s because of whatever entity is in the forest so what if it was the entity starting another fire so they would have to make another sacrifice

i'm rewatching yellowjackets again and god ben just absolutely wrecks my heart. i never really see anyone talk about the hallucinations he started getting of life back home with paul and his entire storyline is devestating. yj takes place in 1996, being gay or queer still isn't really socially acceptable & in these hallucination/flashbacks we get a glimpse of the life ben COULD have had with paul. he could've gotten out of new jersey, out of the closet, out of hiding. he could've been free. but he never made it out of the wilderness, he never got to say goodbye to paul, and he NEVER got the chance to live truly as himself. he was amputated, starved, poisoned/drugged, assaulted, isolated, and blatantly tortured before ultimately being put out of his misery. it's truly a miracle he survived the amputation at all, but it's harrowing to think he fought so hard for so long to protect the girls that end up killing him anyway; if only he had moved to new york city.

i don't think it makes sense for Ben to have done it. I don't think he would've done anything to hurt the girls. I think he wanted any from them but he didn't want them tk get hurt or die

This show (amidst some absolutely baffling writing choices) has such a great understanding of both religion and humans’ need to make sense of unknowable things. Someone must be acting intentionally, be it man or god, because if not that means whatever happens to us is out of our control.

guys, i have strange theory, but i think its Shauna, cause girls didn't choose her as leader right before fire and she wanted to show that Natalie doing bad job in situations like these. Or more common - Travis, cause girls killed his lil brother and lost their minds.

i honestly believe that it was because the chimney was unclean and caused fire. it doesn’t make sense for ben to burn their cabin down. like how can he be against cannibalism but then kill the girls? it is kind of inconsistent. and his story ended way too short to reveal anything about that. so it's likely that he didn’t burn down the cabin.
