yess as an exmo i wholeheartedly believe the hymns in the lds church are one of the biggest reasons why people believe in the religion. they are beautiful and were made so people feel “the spirit” when listening to them. same goes for why the temples are so beautiful. it’s so people feel those good feelings when looking at them

I had a Catholic voice teacher and I brought her this song and she liked it so much, she wanted me to sing it at our annual recital and then she kept it in her repertoire for her other students. I had the entire audience in tears. It's such a heavy, but beautiful song and I'm now an atheist, but I still love it
