Well they didn’t give Hal his origin or flowers. They basically butchered the ring selection process and all the lore. They butchered Hal’s legacy as the greatest green lantern to ever live. I suppose it’s okay when Gunn changes lore but when a jaded Batman kills someone cause he has become brutal because of his loses, people lose their minds on the lore change and rage out on Snyder.

What I don’t get is why did they have to tear down Hal’s character to build up John Stewart? He already is a good character on his own there was no need to ruin Hal and to top it off they kill him off like wtf? They could’ve atleast given him a heroic death.

I loved the series as a whole but I hated that ending. Like you keep the manhunter alive even tho he asks you to take him out, and you just take the Sheriff’s word that she will turn herself in?

imho, better than Penguin, and that was a great series. I believe this was a great start for, hopefully, a long running series. GL has a lot of potential.

The show was excellent. My biggest complaint is John’s decision that grounds future John-centered stories in Earth. Lanterns aren’t Earth-bound. They’re trying to lower our expectations. Earth sets, few vfx. It was appropriate for this origin. I’m not interested in Lantern stories in Vermont and Arkansas. 🗣️Get your ass in space, Stewart!
