the appointment after I finished chemo and radiation and was told that the MRI showed the tumor had grown into the nerve branch in my pelvis and was considered inoperable. that was when I learned that there won't be a cancer free in my future.

Mine was walking away from my job. Being in constant treatments has been so difficult. I feel like my career was such a big part of my life, until it wasn’t.

I just finished 6 rounds of chemo, 25 of radiation and it was during my 5 rounds of brachytherapy..I knew what life I had, died and I will never be who I once was. I still cry about it as it comes in waves.

When the ER doc came in, turned down the TV, leaned in and said, "do you have anyone here with you?". I knew then and there my life I had and knew was never going to be the same. That was 3 weeks ago. Stage 3 SCC, hand and neck. I start 7 weeks (35 sessions) of radiation and weekly chemo in 2 weeks.

It's been one disaster after another. Diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the very end of December 2025. Early January came down with a severe case of Shingles...on my chest wrapping around me to spine. Surgery had to be delayed until lesions on breast dried. Needed 3 surgeries to obtain clear margins. Developed a Seroma after 1st surgery. Radiation x20 completed mid May. Beginning of July Developed Cellulitis in the Breast...the Seroma to blame. Treated with multiple antibiotics until a slight response seen. Even strong expensive IV antibiotic infusion did not work. Two weeks ago I got results of a routine Abdominal MRI...routine f/u from the Kidney Cancer I had in 2017...all f/u tests previously have all been good. Now this MRI showed a lesion on mty spine. I jumped from a Stage II Breast Cancer to a Stage IV in a blink of a eye. Boom. Godsmacked. Tomorrow I go see my Medical Oncologist. I can't get into a more defining Spine MRI until November. 😟
