@nate_mcmurray: GRAND ISLAND ZOMBIE PROJECTS: KEEP THE TREES, BURY THE DEAD PLANS People sometimes ask why I spend so much time in Niagara Falls. My district includes Grand Island, Niagara Falls, Lewiston and Youngstown. I love Grand Island—and I believe turning Niagara Falls around can help lift the whole region. Today on Grand Island, I spoke about a fight I was part of 10 years ago: clear-cutting land for development. These old plans keep coming back like zombie projects, with the argument that they were approved decades ago. A 40-year-old plan shouldn’t get a free pass to cut down trees today. I know some members of the Town Board, and I’m asking them sincerely: I fought this when I was supervisor and when I ran for the job. Why are we still letting it come back? Please put these plans to rest. No more clear-cutting Grand Island for developers.
