I lived there in mid 90s for 18 months. It was a true paradise then. No cars, trucks or buses. Motorbikes banned at midnight. Pedicab to get home from Cocamangas and Beachcomber. Went back in 2010 and it has been completely destroyed

We don't usually like beach holidays. We never sun bathe and we thought there wouldn't be enough there to keep us occupied for long, so we only booked for 5 days. Ended up extending it to 10 days and it still wasn't enough. Such an amazing and beautiful place.

It really used to be paradise, but then it was over build with hotels, 5 .6 G facial recognition cameras every where you go! And it's over priced.
