The Congo is SO fast, SO violent, and drops SOOOO much in altitude that humans will never EVER be able to navigate the entirety of the river in one vessel, it is physically impossible, there are fish that are isolated in certain parts of the river only because of how strong the current is lol

Congo Basin is scary, the river is ridiculously scary. He’s going down the basin and I think getting out as soon as it hits the river. Locals keep saying he will 💀 if he attempts the river.

like I was kinda invested at first but 1)hes not even bringing a suture kit. Just like Tylenol, a tourniquet some bandaids and stuff like youre asking to get infections. 2)hes using Starlink. i think hes going there to prove theres no place man cant go and theyre looking to deforest it like the Amazon and just mapping it out first. even if thats not his direct goal, bringing Musks tech is out of touch at least. his previous treks were promoting conservation and stuff, now its an independent adventure

The Congo is one of the places that I am sure is breathtaking, but clearly Nature doesn’t want people there! Other places include Lake Baikal, Siberia, the deep Ocean, and Australia.
