Robbie Winehouse :
She was SO smart for this. Turning down the leading role for a 10-minute part is such a power move, especially knowing it was HER idea. She understood exactly what that opening would do for the movie and her career. Honestly makes the whole thing even more iconic.

Thank god. Shes too good to have been stuck in a franchise. We wouldnt have gotten her other iconic films as she would have been busy doing scream.

This was SO smart. At the time they were shocked that Drew died cause they were pushing her as the main character in ads. Brilliant

She was on all the billboards and previews. We all thought she was gonna be the main character and in a WAY she was. Her death was iconic and really set up the movie in a gory way. We did not expect it to murder the female lead that quickly.

she was the WHOLE REASON I braved watching that movie in theater since I wasn't a horror fan yet, and I was devastated when she died so early. had me checking my back seat and every dark corner for the rest of the year 😅

Actually I read that she was supposed to be the lead but had a scheduling conflict so they put her in the opening. Still iconic.
