The difference between 240 and 300+ is less than a millisecond of difference. This is completely unnoticeable to the human brain, so getting anything above 200-240hz is actually completely useless.

Yes but keep in mind that’s the monitors Hz capacity not necessarily the device, for example it I have an Xbox Series X with 120Hz, even if the monitor is 300Hz it’s gonna still run 120Hz

More Hz doesn’t make you good. Thats like someone saying they can’t backflip because the ceiling is too low (60Hz), and when you put them in a room with a higher ceiling (Higher Hz), they still can’t backflip

just cause you got a 300hz monitor don’t mean you gonna be running the full 300 everytime especially if your pc can’t handle it just get one in the range of 144-240

While you do want equal FPS to the Hz, having 120 fps on a 60 Hz monitor will still be smoother than 60fps
