🚨 CHRISTA PIKE’S SISTER JUST SHARED SOMETHING THAT I THINK IS CRAZY! Christa’s sister Alicia commented with alleged details about what was happening BEFORE Colleen Slemmer was UNALIVED. To be clear: This is unverified. It comes only from Alicia’s account and has not been independently confirmed. According to Alicia, when Christa came home for Christmas break she BEGGED their mother not to send her back to Job Corps. She claims Christa was being woken up at night by another girl threatening her with a box cutter. Alicia also claims that when Christa returned after break, her room had been vandalized and a photo of her grandmother .. who was one of the only stable figures in Christa’s childhood, had been torn to shreds. And this part is important: Alicia herself said they DO NOT KNOW who vandalized the room. She is not saying Colleen did it, and neither am I. What she IS alleging is that Colleen had been bullying Christa. And apparently, someone was vandalizing her belongings. None of that justifies what happened to Colleen. Not even a little. IF IT WAS TRUE. I question this entire story honestly because I’ve watched several documentaries about this case, and everyone that knew Colleen said she was quiet, reserved, respectful, and sweet. But that was it. They really didn’t elaborate much or really get into detail too much about what happened leading up to the crime. And a lot of things from Christa’s childhood was left out as well. Being bullied does not justify what Christa Pike did. Being threatened does not justify it. Having a traumatic childhood does not justify it. Colleen Slemmer did not deserve to be taken out of this world. There have also been questions raised about how close Colleen’s mother became with the lead investigator during the investigation, including accounts that he spent time with her outside of formal interviews. Im not sure how I feel about this.. but if those accounts are accurate, it’s fair to ask about professional boundaries and objectivity, especially in a case where a life is at stake. Are these truthful statements.. or just a family member trying to justify what Christa did? Most people only know the headline version of this case. The horrific details of what Christa did have been repeated for 30 years. What hasn’t been discussed as much is what was allegedly happening to Christa in the weeks before, including Tadaryl Shipp’s role and the environment these teenagers were in. That doesn’t make Christa innocent. It doesn’t make Colleen responsible for her own death. And it doesn’t mean Christa should walk free. It means the full story MAY BE more complicated than the one most people were given. Christa can be responsible for a horrific crime and we can still look at what led an ab*s*d, traumatized 18-year old to that point. Both can be true. Colleen deserved to live.
