This movie was such a good adaptation of dnd, it was fun going "ah, thats where they rolled a nat 1. Ah thats where the dm said enough is enough. Oh this ones a new player and not good a rp yet" like

if they ever make another D&D movie i want them to bring back all the same actors. but they play completely different characters & its a new story lol. I just imagined that the DM is Hugh Grant & everyone else is the players so like for them to switch it up 😂

I can just hear the paladin player going "I walk straight into the sunset." dm: "sure but it's a log beach" "doesn't matter I keep going" "there's a rock. do you go around it?" "nope. straight over." "over the rock?" "yes. I have to walk into the sunset"

my friend and I were watching this the other day. as the others continue discussing their plans in some shots you can still see him walking in the distance.

Still angry they were too scared of headlines and decided to use this character instead of Drizzt like they were going to. A terribly wasted opportunity.

I love this kind of humor, just the uncomfortable length of the scene makes me giggle.

I figured it was less straying from the path and more of how minis move on the map

This scene is one of my favorite moments that really segment this movie as a D&D movie. It's a scene I could see happen at my own table (not to mention how incredibly funny it is.)
