I never planned to come back to Vietnam. Fifteen years ago, I came to Saigon simply for a holiday. I was born here, but I grew up in Germany. And when I came back, something about this city fascinated me. So I thought: Why not stay for a while? I found a beautiful house, made it my home — and that was the beginning. Was it my dream to build a business in Vietnam? No. Was it my big plan? Also no. It was almost an accident. A coincidence. And it certainly wasn’t easy. For the first three years, I basically didn’t make a single dollar. I had no clients. Nobody was waiting for me. What I had successfully done in Germany — high-end interiors, exceptional furniture, craftsmanship, beautiful objects — was still something very unfamiliar here at the time. It took me almost seven years before I started doing the kind of high-quality projects in Vietnam that I had already been doing in Germany. And today, I’m standing here in my own showroom and office in the middle of Saigon. People sometimes ask me: “So what is your plan for the future?” My answer is very simple: I don’t need to know exactly where I will be in ten years. I just need to know what I can do well today. Because I believe if you do your very best today — with discipline, passion and consistency — tomorrow has a very good chance of becoming something good too. My life in Vietnam was never the plan. But sometimes the things you never planned become the biggest chapter of your life. Good luck, everyone. #thaiconginteriordesign #thaicong #thaicongtv #interiordesign #luxurylifestyle
