My mom died when I was 13 , & my step brother was only 6. We told him that she fell asleep and fell in love with the stars. Pick a night and find a star you both love, name it after him. Once your baby goes to sleep, find the name of the start and track it. When he misses daddy, track the star , find it , and remind him daddy’s right there

Hi love. My husband passed away when he was 23 years old and I was widowed at 21 due to a sudden and violent tragic motorcycle accident on September 24th 2025. He was on his way to work and it had been raining. I have officially survived the first year without him that I couldn’t imagine surviving. Much like you I had no idea what my existence was supposed to be like. I felt like I had died right then and there with him when the troopers told me. It’s an indescribable pain that I don’t have to explain to you. I couldn’t remember the first few months. I still feel like it all was like a week long. Time was so incredibly warped. But slowly things started to come back to me. They were different though. There will always be a before and after unfortunately honey. I know for me words weren’t comforting and neither was anything else because the only thing that could comfort me in such distress was gone. That said you can always DM me. I will always respond. Even if you don’t want for me to talk back but just for someone to listen who understands. There’s no guidebook and that’s the hardest part. Trying to navigate a whole brand new life when one was ripped away. I am so sorry you have to face this. But you’re not alone. You are so brave and resilient for even just existing. I’m sending you so much love and hugs 🫂❤️

I know it sounds harsher than it seems. Because it seems sooo recently, and I’m very sorry about your loss, but just remember girl, by the time he turns around too look for you, after being received by everyone he missed, you will already be there heading towards him, so he will not have time to miss you 😢

The same happened to me in July. Here if you ever need someone to talk to that truly gets it. I didn’t eat for three weeks straight and while I have good moments, I still struggle the majority of the time. He never leaves my mind. I am so sorry for the pain you’re feeling and all you’ll have to deal with to follow. 🤍🫶🏻

I'm almost 5 yrs out from losing my husband. I'm not going to sugar coat. you'll never "get over it" you'll adjust to your new normal. you will eventually learn to smile and laugh. but you will also have moments that the grief comes back even years later. but you will get through it. im so sorry you have to experience this

I am so so sorry. I know words can only do so much and most things people will say won’t seem to help at all, coming from someone who has been in the trenches of grief for years. But honey life really does go on and I don’t mean that in a negative way at all. You can’t breathe right now and you feel like your world just came to an end, but day by day and hour by hour you’ll feel human again. You’ll never forget him and you’ll love him and miss him

I am sorry that you are experiencing this. It is going to be minute by minute a lot. I have been a widow for 6 years and the best advice is allow yourself to grieve however it may look like for you and don’t let others opinions of what they think that should look like hold any weight for you.
