@sonikaarealty: Every few years, the world says Dubai is finished, and every time Dubai proves them wrong. Here are the crises that changed the city forever. In 2008, the global financial crisis hit Dubai hard. Property prices fell by around 50 percent, projects froze and many investors left. But Dubai fixed its rules, strengthened its property laws and the real estate market came back stronger between 2010 and 2014. In 2020, the pandemic stopped flights, emptied hotels and closed malls. Once again people said Dubai was done. But the city reopened faster than most places, expanded the UAE Golden Visa and kept building toward Expo 2020 Dubai, which opened in October 2021. In April 2024, the heaviest rainfall in 75 years flooded roads and disrupted Dubai International Airport. Yet that same year, Dubai real estate recorded 226,000 transactions worth AED 761 billion, which was a 36 percent jump in volume from 2023. Now in 2026, the regional conflict that began on 28 February slowed travel, trade and property sales. But Capital Economics says Dubai is well placed to keep its position as the leading financial and business hub of the Gulf, with early signs of recovery already showing. The pattern is simple. Every crisis exposes a weakness, and every recovery makes Dubai stronger. That is why so many investors still see Dubai property as a safe long term bet. #crisis #dubaicity #emerging #bounceback #comebackseason
