tbf he's both in later games, but yeah, RE2 Leon is so soft and kind in a naive way, he's still sweet in the following games but with trauma on top of that so he acts a bit more serious

to be fair they really changed his character from the original re2 to the remake; in the og he was late to raccoon city because he got a hangover and overslept bc his gf broke up with him and in the remake they told him to stay away and he went anyways LOL

Well it's complicated. He is a sweet, good man, but the events of RE2 and training he received afterward traumatized him so he became more arms length and copes with his situation with one liners. He mostly keeps to himself, not because he wants to, but feels he must to protect himself.
