The students here protested in solidarity with their former schoolmate who has accused seven men of gangraping her at a frat party. But they are also protesting against their University, Cornell. According to the New York Times which has seen documents from the case, the accused men have all denied wrongdoing. #dwnews

I always feel dark energy whenever Cornell university came up. I never understood why, it's just give me really bad energy and I would just not talk about them. I am tired of writing these explanations all over again so here and in my replies are gonna be some copied and pasted comments I wrote to grape apologists that explains things: @જ⁀➴𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋☀️☭Lena☭☀️𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋જ⁀➴:Something that I haven't seen anyone thinking about is the fact that we know that Jane Doe is an ordinary person, not a rich person or legacy or anything. The men who took advantage of her are rich. They have money and power and parents who are someone. Not only do we know from those who knew her at the time that it took her time to realize she was graped, but because she is an ordinary person, she can't afford to act carelessly. Because these men could end her life with their money and/or power, she couldn't afford to act carelessly, which is definitely one of the reasons she waited for so long. Also, you need money to hire a lawyer, etc, and because she is an ordinary person she needed time to earn enough money for that, ordinary people rarely just have enough money lying around. This is also definitely a reason for which she waited. Another reason for which I think she decided to wait is because it is very hard for SA victims to think about what happened to them or talk about it, etc. As a SA victim, if I were to take legal action soon after realizing what happened to me, I would've fainted while talking about it, I'm serious. No one wants to be a victim, it is very hard to accept that you're one, and it's even harder to live with the trauma after you realize you're a victim. Not to mention that when something like grape happens to you, trauma forms before you even realize that what happened to you is wrong. And SA trauma is so horrible that I think it's impossible to truly heal from it, I don't think I'll ever heal from it. I think she also took some time so she could get used to the fact that she is a victim and things like that so she could talk about what happened to her and everything. Once she sued, she knew she would be forced to talk about her grape and think about her grape very often. She has to be mentally prepared to be able to endure this, and preparing yourself mentally takes time/1
