The post drew over a million views and thousands of replies. Some Swift fans complained, while other users questioned whether a police department should be making jokes like that at all. Hours later, the department followed up: "We apologize for stirring up the Taylor bots," adding, "Please continue to listen to The Life of a Showgirl." A spokesperson told Germany's dpa news agency that the department tries different things to connect with the community and to show that officers are people who follow the same trends as everyone else.
