🗽 NEW YORK CITY HAS A NEW ROCK STAR — AND HIS NAME IS MAYOR ZOHRAN MAMDANI! Look at that picture — New York City has never looked better! 🇺🇸🗽 And right in the middle of it all is Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a mayor who seems to have discovered something very important about this city: New Yorkers want a mayor who gets out of City Hall and gets among the people. And Mamdani certainly does that. Whether he’s riding the subway, visiting neighborhoods, talking to working families, helping with pothole repairs, celebrating community events or simply walking the streets of the five boroughs, he has developed something you don’t often see in politics — a genuine celebrity-like connection with ordinary New Yorkers. People stop him. People take selfies with him. People cheer him. And yes — he increasingly travels around New York like a rock star. 🎸🗽 And there are some very real accomplishments behind the popularity. WHAT HAS MAMDANI’S ADMINISTRATION ACHIEVED? ✅ Universal childcare: secured a $1.2 billion partnership with New York State and began expanding free childcare for two-year-olds. ✅ Affordability: the administration has made lowering the cost of living a central priority. ✅ Affordable housing: nearly 27,000 affordable housing units were completed, a 20% increase and the highest total in five years. ✅ Public safety: major felony crime fell more than 2%, murders dropped nearly 20%, shootings fell more than 16%, burglaries nearly 9% and robberies nearly 9%. ✅ Potholes: more than 229,000 potholes repaired, a 27% increase — earning his administration the nickname “Pothole Politics.” ✅ Faster buses: bus-lane installations more than doubled, and his administration has continued pushing its plan to make buses faster and eventually fare-free. ✅ Jobs for young New Yorkers: more than 100,000 young people participated across city youth programs. ✅ Parks & recreation: recreation-center membership reached a 15-year high, with attendance exceeding two million. ✅ More trees: tree planting jumped 61%, reaching 55,000 trees. ✅ Support for working people: the city dramatically increased worker restitution and made tens of thousands more workers eligible to recover money they were owed. And the list goes on. ❤️ AND NEW YORKERS ARE NOTICING The numbers tell an interesting story. A September Siena poll found Mamdani favorable by 60–31 among New York City voters. A Suffolk University poll found 56% of New Yorkers rated his performance excellent or good, while 61% said he was doing better than they expected. That’s not everybody — no New York mayor will ever please everybody. But it is a pretty impressive start. And perhaps that’s why when Mamdani walks through New York, the reaction often looks less like a politician arriving and more like a celebrity arriving. For better or worse, New York has always been a city of big personalities. And right now… Mamdani is becoming one of them. You don’t have to agree with every policy he supports to appreciate one thing: He loves being out there with New Yorkers — and New Yorkers seem to love seeing their mayor out there with them. From Queens to Brooklyn, Manhattan to the Bronx, Staten Island and everywhere in between… The Mayor is on the streets. And judging by the crowds… New York City is giving him quite a reception. 🗽❤️🇺🇸 #NewYorkCity #MayorMamdani #NYC #KelticMan #ForTheCraic
