i think the general premise of this take is good and is in no way shape or form ill-intended, but the take itself becomes very limiting in consequence of the manner we as people interpret medias. our own ideologies and belief systems aren’t something we should need to sacrifice in the face of evaluating a work under whatever framework/philosophy it was constructed upon, part of what makes literary analysis such an interesting topic is its subjective nature, the ability we as people possess to interpret it in a multitude of different manners, something which can be predominantly accredited to our own biases. at least in my own personal purview, i think that we as people are better off evaluating works under both our own belief systems, something which is more or less inherently bound to occur, and that of which the work itself is created upon, because it can allow us to attain a more substantial and cohesive understanding of it as a whole. lastly, i think the justification regarding why so many people are in this position to begin with is somewhat insufficient; it isn’t because people aren’t aware of the fact that solid evidence need be cohesive and compelling, but because this is something we as people do so subconsciously to the point of not questioning it to begin with

i think this is true in the sense of not assuming that works are attempting to use philosophies from western works, but fans of a work applying ideas that they like for their own personal analysis is fine. like media is not just about the authors message, but also what the audience gets out of it, in a 'death of the author' kinda way

agreed they do not flush out it is almost similar to mixing oil and water, both are important but geographical ideological differences ultimately prevent a mixing of philosophies. eastern philosophy view opposites as complementary necessities, and western philosophy deals in conflicts good vs evil, body vs mind etc.

I see this a lot with how people approach demons in Japanese media. They end up applying a western Abrahamic understanding of demons onto what is oftentimes more akin to stuff like ghosts, vampires, ogres, etc.

**Rust** is a modern, systems-level programming language designed for **performance, reliability, and safety**. At its core, Rust aims to give developers the speed and low-level control of languages like C and C++, while preventing many common bugs—especially **memory errors**—at compile time. It does this through a unique **ownership and borrowing system**, which enforces rules about how memory is used without relying on a garbage collector. ### Key characteristics of Rust * **Memory safety without garbage collection** Rust’s compiler checks ensure no null pointer dereferences, data races, or use-after-free errors. * **High performance** Rust compiles to native machine code and is suitable for performance-critical software such as operating systems, game engines, and embedded systems. * **Concurrency without fear** The type system helps prevent data races, making concurrent and parallel programming safer. * **Strong, expressive type system** Features like pattern matching, enums with data, and traits enable clear and maintainable code. * **Modern tooling** Cargo (Rust’s package manager and build system) simplifies dependency management, testing, and documentation. ### Common uses * Operating systems and low-level infrastructure * Web servers and backend services * Game engines * Embedded and IoT software * Command-line tools * Performance-critical libraries Rust is known for its **steeper learning curve**, but also for producing robust, maintainable software once mastered. It is widely praised by developers and has repeatedly ranked as one of the *most loved programming languages* in industry surveys. If you’d like, I can also give a **shorter version**, a **beginner-friendly explanation**, or a **technical deep dive**.
