@man_ia_c: What if electrons disappeared for 5 seconds? You're in Central Park when every electron on Earth vanishes. The sky turns black at noon. Light passes straight through everything, even your hands. Every atom becomes pure positive charge, and positive charges repel. One grain of sand releases the energy of a 10-megaton bomb. Every person outshines the Sun. Earth comes apart at nearly the speed of light. When the electrons come back, there's nothing left to come back to.
