Lorren :
I think this trope is too cliche in terms of female independence like shorter hair doesn't always mean badassery development 😭🙏🏾

Her development and growth is better written then most of the backstory of most characters but no one speaks about this

Ppl forget that Sakura’s whole character in Part I is about development 😭 She STARTED as an inexperienced genin who was emotionally immature and gradually learned to become stronger, more independent and more useful to her team. Her freezing or crying in dangerous situations doesn’t erase the moments where she stepped up, like protecting Naruto and Sasuke during the Chūnin Exams despite knowing she was outmatched. The manga literally shows her flaws AND her growth, so judging Part I Sakura like she was supposed to already be Shippuden Sakura completely misses the point of her character. Not only that but ppl love to make Sakura seem useless for cutting her hair when she had more options when it’s so obvious it was a symbol of growth n her deciding to stop relying on her teammates.

Sakura haters talk sh*t about her but you guys didn't watch Naruto i see Sound Ninja already told her it's don't work her that's why she cutting her hair and that's the reason she understand don't always sit back waiting someone to save her prove herself to be fight with them that's why she being student of her Tsunade and make herself Strongest Kunoichi
