My boyfriend at a department store the other day asked me for my opinion on what belt he should buy. I choose the belt I liked best, he said, “mmm I think ima get the other one,” and I giggled cos he does that quite a bit. He apologized about it though, and I told him it was okay. “Sometimes you need someone else to tell you their choice to realize what you actually want,” is what I said or sumn like that but.. yeah! Similarly, when given the choice between two restaurants, I short-circuit on what I want most. It’s only until someone else finally chooses, and I either feel regret or relief, that I realize what I actually wanted.
