@dr.dan_dpt: At the end of the day, all exercise is good exercise and anything that gets you up and moving consistently will benefit you in more ways than you can count 💪🏻

Darren Henderson :
Hi there! Chinese Martial Arts practitioner here! Qigong, and many other Chinese practices tend to be very blended in nature. Qigong it self isn’t necessarily spiritual, however spiritual people certainly do use it for those purposes. In general, it’s power and connection cultivation, in the exact same way that plyometrics get you better at jumping, Qigong helps your muscles, bones, breathe, etc, all coordinate better. Which is probably why so many people are talking about the lymphatic system and you’re right, more movement just makes you healthy!

It's a good general warm up. I tried it a few times. It gets the blood pumping and moves all of your limbs. I think it would have a good general effect for most people. I would guess similar, but better, than a morning walk.

I do actually have a very large lymph problem and been doing 10min routine based in these and it's never been better, my back pain does stem from fascia dryness and this also helps that too so far! also because of how easy it is way easier to keep it consistently

I don’t care what the claims are or what the science says, doing these movements (or really any movements) daily will make you feel better.

Thank you for doing a deep dive! I was wondering about this. Also, simplifying Qi Gong into a few morning moves seems like another “yoga problem”; where westerners take a complex practice and turn it into content, marketable. A brand.

Isn’t it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too? Easy, rhythmic movement feels good
