@lunivyx: I finally recovered a bit from the ending so I'll try to make more edits now Well guys, we survived the finale, yayyy!! I have to say, it was quite an emotional rollercoaster of a journey. I still can't believe we actually got the happy ending (but not even a hug are they fr???). Well these two definitely messed with my mental state. Looking back at the end of my first FHTS post, I actually got from the ending what I've wanted the most, for them to run away far from their environment and make music together. I think I can say we actually got it. The whole scene with Jeongyo and Pio in that piano room was a pure masterpiece. "Looking back, when I was lost in despair, you were the one who pulled me back into music, whether you meant to be or not, you were my light and my hope" — HOLY SHIT, this was a whole-ass love confession. AND getting an injection just to play with him for the last time??? Gay people can't say normal things like "I love you," it always has to be some shit like this. The moment I saw the note, I got physically sick. I genuinely thought it was a su/c/de note. But thank GOD he just left for another country (I was bawling my eyes out though). Now, onto the things that I didn't like. I really, really HATE time jumps with my whole soul. It really wasn't that necessary. It hurts me that so much time was lost. And for me, the last ep was a bit underwhelming. I kinda expected it to be more emotionally charged. Too many unnecessary scenes as well. (And that fuckass ad pissed me off so much.) Also, so many plot holes were left unquestioned. We barely got a glimpse of what Jeongyo experienced during those nine years. The teacher finding out the truth — also, for what? It didn't do anything for the plot. Why did the police arrive earlier than Pio made an announcement? Why did no one question a 17-year-old ordering a whole damn abduction in a foreign country?? Like, of course, we all do it. Just a usual Monday. But anyway, let's not focus on the negative. We got our happy ending after a very mentally damaging time. From the first episode to the last, this show had me in a chokehold and didn't let go. This masterpiece is so beautifully written and shot, it's become my favorite kdrama. I'm never moving on. I'm not sure I want to. I wish I could watch it for the first time again and experience that whole spectrum of emotions I've felt all over again. I'm so grateful to the directors, to Song Kang and Lee Junyoung, and to everyone who was involved in creating this show, for delivering such an incredible piece of art. Whether it was platonic or not, I don't really care. It was one of the best love stories I've ever been invested in. If you've read this far, thank you so much.
