Top row has no leg room. Bottom row is fart recipient and no thigh / head room. How do you expect people with mobility (elderly pregnant disabled) to navigate these? ooof.

Former pilot here. Has nothing to do with clever use of space has everything to do with whether you can evacuate all the people in a specified time limit. More people is much harder to achieve that target. A380s really struggled to get certified
