What they don’t tell you is red dye takes 30+ days to get out of the fuel system so if you’re running red dye fuel and they stop allowing it on the roads which they will DOT is gonna have a payday because everybody’s gonna get a off-road ticket

It’s federal tax relief TEMPORARILY but they WILL charge it later. No FEDERAL penalty BUUUUT states can still cite for use of the dyed fuel. DO NOT do it. You save $1 today to pay $3 later.

The federal government can’t waive state taxes on red diesel and state DOT officers can still ticket you if you’re in a state that hasn’t waved the tax at a state level. They can waive the federal tax but in most states that’s only part of the red tax.

Save a whole $.24 per gallon. Then after the 1st of the year you better hope that red is out cause you know they will start dipping and fining truckers.

It is also not refined to the standards of on- road diesel. I guess if you want to risk a $12,000 fuel system it’s on you
