@jazzy_morrisbiz: Dangerous was Michael Jackson's eighth studio album, released in 1991, and represented a major shift away from the polished funk and pop sound of Bad. Jackson worked extensively with producer Teddy Riley, bringing in new jack swing, harder hip-hop-influenced rhythms, rock and industrial textures. The result was a darker, more aggressive and experimental record, while still containing the enormous pop hooks Jackson was known for. The album produced several major singles, including “Black or White”, “Remember the Time”, “In the Closet”, “Jam”, “Who Is It” and “Give in to Me”. “Black or White” became one of Jackson's biggest hits, while its elaborate music video — particularly the controversial morphing sequence and the final minutes featuring aggressive dancing and destruction — generated considerable discussion. Jackson also continued developing the socially conscious side of his songwriting with “Heal the World” and “Will You Be There”. Commercially, Dangerous was enormous, selling tens of millions of copies worldwide and winning a Grammy for Best Engineered Album. More importantly, it showed Jackson attempting to remain musically relevant as pop was changing around him. It is often viewed as the album where he moved from the pristine 1980s sound of Thriller and Bad towards the darker, more contemporary sound that would define much of his 1990s work. #michaeljackson #90saesthetic #motown #80s #90skid
