i can’t say what the competition was on here because it’s wildly inappropriate for this app lol but storytime !! 🤪 so the head organizer announced on a microphone that we were one of the top two final teams to compete in the third/final round just for her to come back 5 minutes later (after seeing both of us literally jumping for joy and getting hella pumped along with the other team they announced with us btw smfh) to then tell everyone on the mic there was a “judging miscount” (quotes because i feel very suspicious about the sudden switch up for ✨reasons✨ 🤡) that made 0 sense. we were robbed. nothing irks my soul more than a sloppy event organizer as someone who was at one point in the the assistant director/show runner of a pretty big multi-day fashion trade show in NYC. she seemed to not give a single f about the mistake and took no accountability and did nothing to make up for what was either her own *alleged* mistake or one of the judge’s for the incorrect score tally from the previous round. i talked with the co-organizer (the nice and sober one) about how unprofessional it was and how mad i was on principle that we were just tossed aside like pieces of trash when they could have easily made the final round a top 3 instead of 1 v 1 teams. they told me my feelings were valid and gave me a hug. i didn’t need or want a hug- i at least wanted at least a single free drink for the each of us, but apparently that was even too big of an ask. 🙄 we were told by several patrons how great we were & they were confused as to why we didn’t compete in the final round to which i fully believe we were victims of rigormortus ! literally so fkn lame (especially given the nature of the competition liiiikkkkeee idk bruv just really left a hella bad taste in my mouth). i am happy that the team we were supposed to be competing against were the winners though. i was livid af, but i ain’t that sore of a loser. they were hella nice. congrats to team 6. rip team 10 (ignore the lanyard that says 12- idk what was going on with that i guess two teams dropped out before it started so this was taken before my lovely partner @anaël 🕷️🧿 was given a new one). now that makes me think this was actually all jake paul’s fault LMFAO wow throwback. #bretmichaels #rockoflove #couplescostume #losangeles #queercouple
