Does anyone know if this applies to hypermobile joints too? I’m assuming as it’s less strain on the joints like holding weights. The shoulder pain struggle is real with hypermobility

I mean, heavy strength training is shown to reduce knee pain more than stretching. I agree isometric stretching is great but there’s nothing wrong with strength training / Ancient Greeks did lift heavy stones in the Olympics so I am not sure saying they didn’t lift is accurate.

isometricts and eccentricts that help with bone alignment. Pretty much classical pilates imo. Pilates apparatus has a lot of emphasis on stabilization (isometrics) and control (eccentrics)

i had a joint of joint pain from lifting with multiple sets and reps. i switched that up to just one set with one rep, but at the maximum weight i can do by stretching out that one to (what feels like) an infinitely slow movement. i never timed it but that one rep takes prob between 60 and 90 seconds. joint pain has dropped about 80 percent and I have seen more muscle mass growth and increased strength that EVER before.
