It was inside that house that a 20-year-old woman says she was assaulted by seven Chi Phi fraternity brothers in October 2024, according to a recent lawsuit. “Jane Doe”, a Cornell student and sorority member, alleged that after an evening of drinking, and over several hours, she was “pressured” into consuming alcohol and drugs, making her “incapable of consent”, then assaulted by many men at once. Rumours spread on campus in the months after it happened. But now, the whole world is talking about it.
