@robotics: Sony AI has spent five years teaching a robot how to play table tennis and it is now good enough to compete with and beat elite university and professional players. 🏓🤖 The system, called Ace, can react in around 20 milliseconds, compared with roughly 230 milliseconds for elite human players. Its cameras track the ball, measure spin and predict where it is going before the robotic arm decides how to return it in real time.
