its because majority of the peoples are not happy with their lifes. all this religions, cultures and norms has stripped away our freedom, freedome to exercise our free wills, so we turn to the next person and see if they're miserable too, so that i can feel relief. MISERY LOVES COMPANY! if i know the next person is feeling miserable too, then I'll be less worse. this is a human nature, theres nothing we cam do about it. thats way not only dig other person's life, we also look for weak spots. then petty them or fake empathize with them mnamn.
