@zeezee25: this is one example of somebody reacting to an autism diagnosis ❤️ even after diagnosis, there’s often struggles with getting people to understand what autism actually is and how it presents for different people it isn’t one set “look” or presentation, and every autistic person is different 🫶🏻 i don’t look like a 4 year old who’s autistic, because i’m an adult and my needs/capabilities vary! and i don’t look or act like every other autistic adult either if you’ve had a reaction like this, you’re not alone!! 😅 #neurodivergent #autistic #autisticadult #disabilityawareness

p.s. - autism spectrum disorder (ASD) was the name of the condition when i was diagnosed a few years ago, and the wording used on my medical records, so it’s what i used here ❤️but it differs in different countries & is being updated! i think autism spectrum condition (ASC) is now more widely being adopted :)

I just got officially diagnosed. I’m 32 and I was late dx with ADHD 6 yrs ago and since treating that, the ASD sx became harder to maskt. I am grateful for the AuDhd dx but I def feel like “well now what” 😔
