Or being told that you should budget you money better and cut down on spending. I can’t negotiate a lower rent or other bills. I cannot downsize any further. There’s barely anything left. I buy nothing for myself.

It doesnt pay to have anything all those that have never worked in the UK will receive the same state pension as you & you paid into it for 37 yrs? 🤔 So wheres the logic, you also get pension credit & handouts throughout the year for stuff so enjoy your life when your working & young & stop worrying about what you cant control in the future! Its all a con!

59 years old. No private pension. No savings. Renting. Just surviving. BUT I can’t think too long and hard about it, otherwise I’d never stop crying or worrying. SO…. Just living and see what comes. I don’t have much choice 😂. ❤️

Paid everything of in 12 years too. Now again single by my own choice and financial secure finally. 😁 Solo traveling a lot. 😉

Least having these platforms we can acknowledge it’s not just yourself who’s had a hard life and had work hard to survive never mind save for retirement or a rainy day as every day has been a battle . I myself are proud I’ve got this far and yes I’ve no pot of gold to retire into but I’ve done the best I could

That is the issue for 80% of the population sadly. And we are the ones getting squeezed. Earn just a little lTo much to get benifits honestly. But not enough to save. Live from pay check to pay check

We live today. Retirement is not guaranteed. Almost my whole family died before getting into retirement except my mom. She died when she was 1 month in retirement 😔
