What always pisses me off in those observant characters is that they only get one possible answer to what they observed. For example, a in a dead guy's apartment they saw two glasses, so it means he had company. Not that he might have just left the glass from earlier and got himself another one. Or that he had ADHD and prepared multiple drinks at once for himself. No. Two glasses mean that it wasn't a suicide, there was someone else and that other person is the killer. Boring!
