That's because voting doesn't matter. At all. Corruption and greed along with a system that protects and promotes that means our vote is useless. Both sides play the population. Different playbook, same goal. Get richer. Not a single politician actually cares about us. Nothing changes. It only gets worse and worse as time goes on. There is no middle class anymore. There is no buying power anymore. Toledo has a massive spike in evictions and the homeless population goes up and up year after year. So why the actual fuck would any of us take the time to vote? We are too busy looking for jobs and working our jobs to survive.

Im someone who didn’t vote.. it’s because there isn’t one candidate who I felt was worth voting for.. neither democratic or Republican Party in Toledo Ohio are worth a damn.. and unfortunately there is no option to just vote for education reform or school levy’s.. you have to pick a candidate at the end and I rather just skip the process entirely..🤷🏾‍♀️

I've been fighting for my life to get people to vote. They do NOT care. I'm 43 and the people my age that aren't engaged is wild. I just taught someone that you get jury duty from VOTING! I don't know what to do because people in Toledo don't listen know or care.

We not just voting for candidates in office! We are voting to pass legislation and help make all of our lives easier. If you don’t wanna choose a candidate, that’s fine too (not really) but at least vote on the local issues!
