The problem with our parents saying “ja but we only got paid xyz” is that our salaries did not increase by as much as the price of everything did. I tried explaining to my parents that salaries in our area only went up by about three or four times the amount it was twenty years ago, but property has gone up with at least ten to twelve times the price it was (but they don’t want to hear that 😂)
