@dershpiel: Hasidic Billionaire Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz is celebrating his grandson’s birth by donating approximately 10 million shekels, roughly $3.3 million, to support Torah students in Israel. Yeshivas Mir announced an extra holiday bonus for its kollel members after Sukkos. Reports say approximately 7,000 married Torah students will benefit. Rechnitz also requested double stipends for hundreds of students in his kollel network in Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh and Modi’in Illit, alongside additional donations to other yeshivas. Rechnitz studied at Mir as a young man and has supported the yeshiva for years.
