@alanonai: Engineering for Vibe Coders: Stripe Here is the question I would ask before putting your Stripe integration into production: What happens if the customer gets charged, and then everything goes wrong? They close their browser. Your server crashes. The webhook is delayed. Or Stripe sends the same event twice. Does the customer still get what they paid for? Do they accidentally get it twice? Does your database even know they paid? This is why payments are not just a Pay button. Stripe makes collecting money remarkably easy. But your application still needs to handle payment states, webhooks, retries, subscriptions, and failures correctly. And when money is involved, those edge cases suddenly matter a lot. Vibe coding makes it easy to add a Pay button. Engineering means making sure everything still works after someone actually gives you their money. I've been working on my app for a little over a year. I have learned a lot from you recently. I am actually building the stripe checkouts in my app now and you are correct there is a lot you need to give the AI to really hook everything up securely.

that plus compliance. if you have a data breach several States would require you to notify your customers. 😳
