Literally who cares what parents think. It’s your life, do what so you want.

This is easier said than done and very unfair for the person who isn’t accepted by their partner’s family

Not necessarily tho. Often they care more about preserving their culture and language, and fear that their grand children won’t have a very strong connection with their heritage.

its not so simple, parents want preservation of culture. They don't care wether person colour is white or black, they want someone from same background

BUT if you know that your parents or family members are wicked enough to RUIN the life of that person, LEAVE THEM ALONE if you are not willing to cut all ties with them because that person will suffer and your children

my husband is Pakistani, and he wasn't allowed to marry me, however he stood his ground and all and now we are happly married, my mother in law loves me and sometimes I poke fun at her for trying to stop our relationship. but I know it wasn't racism, it was more fear that I wasn't going to do the duty of a wife and take care of her son. which is not a mindset fit this time and age but this is the culture she knows and understand.

Either be willing to cut off ANY racist family members and if you’re not willing to cut off family that doesn’t accept your partner then leave them and let them find full acceptance with someone else!!!!
