@hex6942: Barrel Faces His First Halloween Without Shock and Lock For The Nightmare Before Christmas fans, this Halloween carries a bittersweet feeling. Oogie Boogie’s mischievous trio has lost two of its original voices: Paul Reubens, the voice of Lock, who died in 2023, and Catherine O’Hara, the voice of Shock, who passed away on January 30, 2026. That leaves Danny Elfman, the voice of Barrel, as the only surviving original performer behind the iconic trio. This Halloween marks the first time fans will celebrate without both Shock and Lock’s voices—a poignant reminder of the lasting legacy these performers left in one of the most beloved Halloween classics. 🥺
